In order to be able to offer fast deliveries and low prices to our customers, we have a wide stock of materials in different types of finishes, among others.a plate,flat bar, round bar, construction pipe, precision pipe, various types of hole profiles such as KKR, VKR, angle iron, beam, etc.Everything is cut in our production. KNOWN MATERIALS OF PK’S MECHANICAL
STEEL
355/2134 – a low carbon structural steel with good weldability which means that the steel can normally be welded without preheating unless details are very large.
C45E4 – A so-called machine Steel, a simpler steel with a carbon content of around 0.45%. The relatively high carbon content makes the steel suitable for both ductile and induction hardening
2541M / 34CrNiMo6 –A low-alloy (chromium-nickel-molybdenum) medium carbon ductile steel. In comparison with CrMo toughness hardening steel, it exhibits higher strength.
2244M / 42CrMoS4 – A low-alloy (chromium-molybdenum) medium carbon ductile steel.
2225M / 25CrMoS4 – A low-alloy (chromium-molybdenum) ductile hardening steel with a relatively low carbon content. The material is delivered in a heat-treated (toughened) state, which is why further heat treatment is normally not necessary.
Toolox® 33 – Delivered in a toughened state with high impact toughness and very low residual stresses, which provides good shape stability after machining. Toolox 33 is characterized by extremely good machinability (better than 1.2312) and has excellent polishing and photoetching properties (same as 1.2311) Toolox® 33 is suitable for molds and dies as well as for tooling and machining components.
Toolox® 44 –Having a nominal hardness of 450 HBW/45 HRC, a ready-hardened steel is suitable for extrusion molds and machining components that require high strength.
12L14 – Usually used in automatic screw machines in the manufacture of a large number of parts that require a large tolerance.
Strenx® 650MC – is a hot-rolled structural steel for cold forming with a minimum yield strength of 650 MPa for stronger and lighter structures.
Strenx® 700 E/F –Is a structural steel with a minimum yield strength of 650 – 700 MPa depending on the thickness. Typical applications are demanding load-bearing structures.
Strenx® 900 – Is a structural steel that guarantees a minimum yield strength of up to 900 MPa depending on the thickness. Typical applications are load-bearing structures, which require low weight.
Strenx® 1100 – Ideal applications are advanced lifting devices and lighter transport solutions and components. Minimum yield strength 1100 MPa.
Strenx® 1300 –Good weldability with excellent HAZ strength and toughness. Typical applications are load-bearing structures with very high requirements for low weight.
Hardox® 400 – Is a versatile, abrasion-resistant steel of 400 HBW that combines high toughness, good formability and good weldability.
Hardox® 450 –Is a versatile, abrasion resistant steel of 450 HBW that combines good bendability and weldability with guaranteed impact toughness. It can be used in many kinds of components and structures that are subject to wear.
Hardox® 500 – Is a bendable and weldable abrasion resistant steel with a nominal hardness of 500 HBW.
Hardox® 500 Tuf – offers exceptional strength, hardness and toughness in a single wear plate, guaranteed.
Hardox® 550 – Has a nominal hardness of 550 Brinell, is almost as tough as Hardox® 500 and provides better durability and crack resistance.
Hardox® 600 – Has a nominal hardness of 600 HBW and unique impact toughness. Especially suitable for extreme wear conditions but can still be cut and welded.
Hardox® Extreme –Is the hardest steel sheet in the world with nominal hardness of 60 HRC (Rockwell) and typical hardness of 650-700 HBW.
ALUMINUM
AW-6061-0 – Annealed 6061 has maximum tensile strength no more than 18,000 psi.
AW-6061-T4 –T4 tempering has a final tensile strength of at least 30,000 psi and yield strength of at least 16,000 psi.
AW-6061-T6 – It is the most widely used alloy. It has a final tensile strength of at least 42,000 psi and yield strength of at least 35,000 psi.
AW-6063 – Excellent for extrusion, usually made with a very smooth surface perfect for anodizing.
AW-6073 – The alloy is a variant of AW-6082 which is better suited for decorative anodizing as it achieves a higher surface quality.
AW-6082 – Has a high strength and a good corrosion resistance. The alloy is suitable for welding and can be anodized. In case of requirements for a more decorative surface after anodizing, an AW-6073 is used.
AW-5052 – Very good corrosion resistance, used in marine applications.
AW-7075 – Used in aerospace industry. Strong with good fatigue strength and average machinability but not a good corrosion resistance.
STAINLESS STEEL
200-serien – Austenitic alloys of iron-chromium-nickel-manganese.
300-serien –Austenitic iron-chromium-nickel alloys.
301 – Very ductile, for shaped products. Rapid hardening during processing.
303 – Free processing version of 304 via the addition of sulfur.
304 – Very popular; also called 18/8 stainless steel.
316 –Very common and widely used by the underwater industry due to its resistance to salt water.
400 series – Ferritic and martensitic alloys.
408 –Heat resistant; poor corrosion resistance; 11% chromium, 8% nickel.
409 – The most affordable; used in the automotive industry.
410 –Martensitic (high strength iron/chromium).
420 – Known as”surgical steel”.
430 – Used in automotive parts, decorative.
440 –Good cutlery quality, better edge retention thanks to its high carbon content.
600-serien – Mantensitic precipitation hardening alloys.
630 / 17-4 PH – Better known as 17-4 PH. Is a stainless steel that offers superior corrosion resistance and is often used for applications that require high strength and a moderate level of corrosion resistance.
TITANIUM
Ti-6AI-4V – The most common titanium alloy is Ti-6AI-4V. it is highly resistant to corrosion and temperature extremes. Great tensile strength and toughness. Used in military, aviation, aerospace and medical industries.
PLASTIC
ABS – Scratch resistant, good for its cosmetic value.
ACETAL – It is compared with some metals due to its stability, impact resistance and strength.
ACRYLIC– Very durable and lightweight with great clarity. Great for screens and other visual applications.
CPVC – Is a thermoplastic produced by chlorination of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin.
DELRIN – It is an amazing all-purpose plastic, very versatile and economical.
ERTALYTE® – Excellent choice for parts requiring a close tolerance.
G-10 – Great chemical and moisture resistance, excellent insulation and electrical properties and very high strength composite.
NORYL– A plastic developed by General Electric and can be used in electronics, coating and machinery.
NYLON – Excellent abrasion and chemical resistance. Easy to process.
PEEK – It has a high tensile strength and it has replaced stainless steel in some cases due to its high performance, reliability and low cost.
PHENOLIC – Very light weight, extremely durable plastic and moisture resistant.
POLYCARBONATE (PC) –Virtually unbreakable, transparent glass material.
UHMW – Impact and abrasion resistant, very affordable.
